If you're going to call COVID a lottery, then you should also call walking down the street a lottery, since you might get killed by a mugger. You could die any day you get in your car and go to work. Better sit in the dark (because if you use electricity, you might start a house fire) in your basement (in case a meteor hits your house) and wait to die of old age, because the whole world's dangerous.
Agreed. Friend's 98 yo grandmother got it and recovered. My wife and 2 adult kids got it - no big deal. I didn't get it or was immune/asymptomatic. The hallmark of the COVID is the change in smell. It still lingers with my wife 8 months later. And she still tested positive for the antibodies at 7 months. COVID is real, but not what it was designed to be. Nor is it any more deadly that influenza. Masks exacerbate COVID as well.
The smell thing is really interesting. I was reading up on it and it seems that particular symptom was mostly happening to younger people that tested pos for covid, and that in their research a significant number of people who ended up testing negative reported loss of smell too.

Our experience was very different. She came down with mild cold symptoms (3 days) mid-March, long before much was known about COVID.
Outside of our house, we have a shrub that puts out flowers so strong, you can smell them 3 houses away - she couldn't smell with her nose in the bloom for 2-3 weeks.
Continuing now, she's notice - and I'm not making this up - the only lingering effect is all farts, dog and human, smell like chick peas. Dead serious.

They certainly do. Look how many people were at his rallies without muzzles. Look at these R hearings like we saw in AZ yesterday. They were distanced but hardly anyone wearing muzzles. The people are no longer sold on this BS, but I think he's just waiting for the vaccines to come out. I used to watch local news, but I can't any more. They are all 100% all-in on selling this Rona fear and hype. They spend their entire show doing stories about it. This is what Trump's up against and he tried to break it up after he came out of Walter Reed a few months ago. He ripped off his mask, stopped talking about Rona and refused to wear a muzzle.
Dallas news reported in August that 200,000 Texans would die by the end of the year of covid. Joe said 200,000 Americans would die of covid by the end of the year a few weeks ago. Either December is going to be really bad, new math does not work, or we have been lied to.
