On way home I took a moment to chat with one of the Nat'l Guard kids. He was Air National Guard from Syracuse. 3 striper airmen, nice kid. I told him my history - officer, retired, combat vet. I asked what he thought of his "mission".
He started out by saying he felt good that he was helping to protect NY from "virus carriers" (like something out of walking dead I guess). I then shoved a red pill down his throat. We talked about the Constitution. His Oath. Unlawful orders. History of tyrants and those who supported them by just "following orders".
I think I got thru to the kid. At least gave him something to think about.
Pedes we've lost the bubble when one, just one, of our states in this Republic demands you to fill out paperwork in order to enter and freely move about. That is anathema to what this country is founded on and what has made us great. A "health emergency" does not abrogate the US Constitution. Nothing does.
