It's up to us to normalize not wearing masks. Every business I go to I don't wear it. I carry one and will gladly put it on if asked, but it hasn't happened yet. In several instances I have seen other patrons take off their mask when seeing me without mine.

We can break the programming. Remember, you're not hurting anyone. The worst they can do is ask you to put it on.

I go find somewhere else if they ask me to wear a mask. I'm not capitulating at all.

Either they want my money, or they want me to wear a mask, they can't have both.

12
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 12 points ago +13 / -1

Yeah, that works. My hope it's that enough people start doing it at those businesses that the employees just give up. Like at Costco if 20% of people aren't wearing a mask what are they really going to do?

11
Nimblestpepe 11 points ago +11 / -0

Run around the store like maniacs barking at people lol

The_Peter 14 points ago +14 / -0

It's crazy how motivated workers can be if they get to boss customers around.

There's this burger joint I used to eat at where you can walk up to the counter and the workers are all in kitchen taking their sweet time finishing up whatever conversation they were having.

But if they're back in the kitchen and hear a customer getting a refill at the fountain drink machine. They'll immediately stop whatever it was they were doing, run out and start scolding whoever's getting a refill.

The current situation is, if I refuse to wear one now (and I know because I AM a mask-resister), I cannot shop ANYWHERE.

I got into an argument with the management at my local gun store over this. Shameful. It puts them in an awkward position, but it sure smells a lot like "just following orders" defense to me.

I got into an argument with the management at my local gun store over this.

Fuck that LGS, let them go out of business, they probably don't have any inventory to sell anyway.

My LGS, not one mask with over a half a doz people in there.

leatherbottom 1 point ago +4 / -3

I agree. The only snag is that a lot of these businesses are just trying to stay alive. If the gov is there and people aren't following the mask rule, the business can be fined and shut down, effectively killed. So I don't fault the businesses for enforcing it. On the street, though, I won't wear one.

Haven't worn a mask this whole time. Me and my wife just walk in everywhere without one. We get a few weird looks, but most people just ignore it. I have seen a few take theirs off after seeing us.

We went Black Friday shopping at Walmart and the lady at the door told us we would have to wear a face covering or the police officers standing just inside would ask us to leave. We walked right by her and the police officers (one of which wasn't wearing a mask either). We looked right at the police and they just looked at us. Never said a word.

Don't be afraid to walk in without one. If they turn you away, politely let them know you will never return, even after the 'pandemic' is over.

11
Nimblestpepe 11 points ago +12 / -1

We did that in target to the first lady greeter and told her no thanks. Second greeter lady went Karen on us so we turned around and left.

I don't even bother wearing a mask anymore. I'm glad Ron Desantis is my governor. For the idiots that do tell me to put my mask on, I just put my hat over my mouth. Though one cashier at a gas station did piss me off. Telling me to wear a mask when he's behind the plexi glass counter and wouldn't ring my items up. So I just left. These people are so dumb. They're losing business just for me not having a mask on. I would of loved to press that guy more but had no time to argue about it.

Don’t even wear it if asked. That’s not helping

4
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 4 points ago +7 / -3

I understand the thought there, but my point is not too make a scene, just to have as many people see me without a mask as possible. Also, I know employees are just trying to do their job and hate masks as much as me. I want normies to see that it's as simple as just saying "whoops, I forgot" and putting it on, rather than having to leave the store.

It's all about deprogramming. People will gravitate towards what's comfortable and easy and not wearing a mask is comfortable and easy.

But to each his own. One way or another stop wearing a mask.

3
hloblart 3 points ago +3 / -0

I bet they hate their masks more than you.

Luckily my office has never required them, but I do not work in the service industry, but I would not be able to cope with wearing one for more than a half hour.

13
Thep1mp 13 points ago +13 / -0

“ and will gladly put it on if asked”......

There’s your mistake. I simply tell them I will shop elsewhere and leave. Find someone else to give your money to. Sucks for me that my local hardware store requires one and I have to drive an extra 20 minutes to get to the next closest one, but it’s what’s needed.

13
cheesygorditacrunch4 13 points ago +13 / -0

I never wore a mask, and have only been asked about it twice. First time I said I’m exempt, then the second time I just said no thank you. Fuck masks, people need to take the power back.

Step 2: when they ask, say no.

What are they going to do? Usually nothing, and will let you continue on your business. Worst case, they ask you to leave.

2
swimminginthoughts 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's a store near me that will let you walk around without one but won't check you out. No self service machines either.

9
DeplorableLadyPede 9 points ago +9 / -0

I would gather a full cart of items to leave at the check out. Eventually they'll rather have the sale than the want to be mask nazis. Break the conditioning.

There's a store near me that will let you walk around without one but won't check you out.

Take singles with you, put it on a register, walk out with your product. Register is for Inventory Control, not people control. The requirement is you pay for your items.

9
sustainable_saltmine 9 points ago +10 / -1

you're lucky then. in most states with mask mandates the businesses are so paranoid of being visited by state officials and losing their business licenses due to someone calling in a complaint they have people either at the doors or close to it watching everyone that comes in and harassing them if they aren't wearing one or actively kicking them out. A lot of these places are hanging on barely to their business after all the shutdown crap and are scared shitless of losing it due to state action over stupid face cloths

8
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah, Texas is somewhere in the middle. They're pretty strict. I did it in California last week though. Thought I'd get stopped every time. Didn't happen once

5

That's the way it is in New York right now. Back in the summer I noticed people were slowly starting to take them off but now that cases are up and King Cuomo and his brown shirt contact tracers are going after businesses, many of them have been shamed into complying or they have shut down.

What State are you in Pede? I'm in CT and refuse to wear a mask.

For the first 6 months nobody said boo to me. In fact, i was shocked that store employees would always ask if i needed help and treated me really well.

At 6 months in, i started to get guff. Asked if i wanted a mask. Politely declined the next couple of visits and was left alone.

9 months in and i was swarmed and thrown out. They were rabid.

The New Man is born. The human gestation period has passed and masks are now the "new normal".

The China virus was a hoax, but they engineered the virus model perfectly in human behavior

Those NOT wearing masks are the virus.

Those wearing masks are the antibodies for the communist, globalist immune system.

The Media was the delivery system.

Fear was the catalyst.

Go anywhere as a free man, refusing to submit and you will be swarmed and removed.

They scored a victory. I am now isolated.

5
TeamMAGA 5 points ago +5 / -0

Pretty spot on for where I live as well. On Thanksgiving they called the cops on me for not wearing one, most they could do was ask me to leave or get trespassed.

4
Orangelightsinwindow [S] 4 points ago +5 / -1

I'm in Texas which in my travels seems to be in the middle as far as strictness. The best way for us to deal with this is strength in numbers. If there's just one of you the swarm will win. If there are 20 of you and the swarm of 7 they'll give up.

All pedes must do their part to the degree you're able. At minimum walk in without a mask as I'm suggesting.

I don't even when asked. I just say I can't wear one.

The other night a store manager approached me within three feet while I was off in the corner waiting for my wife. She asked me for a third time since being in this store if I would put a mask on and if not, please maintain social distancing.

I told her, You approached me. I was standing here all alone.

If they ask me to leave, that's fine, no problem.

7
Chick-fill-eh 7 points ago +7 / -0

You need to take it a step further. Don't just comply little sheep.

Don't carry a mask. If they don't want your maskless money, that's fine. Give it to someone who actually wants your money.

6
FeverBurn 6 points ago +6 / -0

I don’t wear a mask. If they ask I tell them I have an exemption (which I do). If they still tell me to put on a mask or leave I leave then add it to the “no go” list of businesses in our county group for mask freedoms of nearly 2500. We also list the good businesses to support who support personal freedoms.

-1
SirPokeSmottington -1 points ago +2 / -3

No.

-1
Women4Trump2020 -1 points ago +1 / -2

In my county, if you refuse to leave a business even after they tell you to leave, it is considered trespassing and you can get arrested. Our local Sheriff explained that a private business can tell people to leave for any reason. I was at a brewery over the weekend and it happened to me, I just left and went somewhere else where they didn’t care that I don’t wear a mask. It’s not worth getting arrested for.

The other day a greeter tried to make a scene and loudly asked if I wanted a mask. I responded even louder with a polite, "No thank you" and kept on walking. What are they going to do? Physically put one on me? Yeah right. Anyway, so far so good. Your mileage may vary. (YMMV)
