I had two very liberal friends drunkenly confess they voted for Trump. They confessed they didn't like BLM and how violent and irrational it was. I was blown away and so happy. Threw back a few more shots in celebration.
This doesn't surprise me at all if you live in a deep blue area. I have numerous coworkers that would be shocked if they thought I voted Trump.
At this point there are parts of the country where admitting to voting red will endanger your job. You seek out like minded people very quietly and very carefully.
The flip side of this is that those defecting do so quietly too. You begin to realize there are Trump supporters all around you that you just haven't discovered yet. It offers a certain amount of hope.
I'd love to get out of this area, and I will at some point, but for the moment that is reality.
Same here Pede. Looking forward to moving soon, but just wearing my poker face until I have the degree I need to start my own practice. For now, just take heart in the fact that there are more of us undercover than anyone knows.
