As much as I dislike Christianity, I honestly get offended by the "God Is Love" Jesus these types push. It's like watching one of those parents who won't discipline their kids or teach them personal responsibility because it's not "feel good" stuff. Their entire religion's about how God wants you on his team, but he'll do awful stuff if that's what it takes to make you act right. I guess that doesn't pay, though.
Sometimes it really just takes a bit of changing perspective to help a lot of things click, here's an example
For many years of my life I didn't like the phrase "God-fearing" because I took it literally as in "oh we have to do this and that or God will smite us and we will suffer immensely". What changed my perspective interestingly enough is when I watched the movie Malcolm X with Denzel Washington. One point in the movie he describes his fear of his mentor Elijah Mohammed and the fear was based entirely in seeing him as a father figure and being terrified of disappointing him.
Then I realized that's what God-fearing actually means. You're terrified of disappointing Him because he is your Father. He is the Father of all. In the same way I know that I wouldn't be able to look my own earthly father in the eye if I had done something I know I shouldn't have done and disappointed him, so too I feel the same way in disappointing the Heavenly Father.
God is capable of both wrath and love in the same way our own fathers are capable of the same. Getting spanked as a child for whatever misbehavior doesn't mean your father doesn't love you. As you get older you realize you don't fear the pain of the spanking as much as you fear disappointing your father with misbehavior and forcing him to have to spank you to teach you the difference between right and wrong.
So you're right in the sense of what you brought up, and sometimes all it takes is a changing perspective to bring that home. Would you desecrate your earthly father's home and disgrace him with misbehavior and then say "of course he will forgive me, he loves me"? Someone who would do that with no remorse is just a bad person, and it's the same with our relationship with God. Hopefully that rambling nonsense made sense to somebody.

Instead of what many are doing now and will do (which is nothing)...Jesus and his disciples were directly engaging the leaders of the time. Directly requesting time with Caesar. Directly risking imprisonment and torture to fulfil the mission. Directly spending time in dungeons, seeing their friends crucified. Directly stepping out in front of the entire known world to contradict the narrative.
I believe it was 11 out of 12 disciples who died on the mission to promote the name of Christ. Those aren't rookie numbers from an "even me" kind of God. Those are numbers from a completely fearless warrior who inspired that level of commitment in his followers.

Look, Jesus was badass wherever he went. He was always telling people they were the snakes and liars, pointed out their hypocrisy, and told them to do the right thing. I don't recognize the Jesus the media portray.
Meh, i've also seen leftists use this to justify the riots and looting. i don't like it. The fact is the temple was his house and he had every right to kick them off his property. He didn't get this way with corruption in other places.

For me it comes down to the version of anger portrayed. A summary look and seeing a story through my human eyes I can make Jesus have my anger and therefore feel justified having whatever horrible anger I decide is deserving. Very communist of them. I dislike the way they use this verse but it shows who they are quite clearly. They don’t read the Bible for context, just ammunition for their sin. Satin used Bible verses against Jesus, even the devil knows the Bible.

In so much as it has authentic care and love behind the upset feelings, will spur the emotional to respond to the injustice. Much different than anger for anger sake or self aggrandizement. TDS for example would be a righteous anger if President Trump was legitimately a Nazi, but since he isn’t, it’s just deranged anger. Sure. But i don't think we need to use Jesus here to justify ourselves because this was an exception of throwing the crooks off of his property. Jesus was quite peaceful to the corrupted individuals that killed him. There are other verses we can use.
