That's basically the situation you have online. Also depriving people is gagging them. You go from being able to reach a billion people in a fashion to hardly anyone.
It is the equivalent to putting someone under house arrest. Extreme relative confinement. It is extremely unequal. Imagine in a case someone is saying something untrue about you to billions of people and you don't even have the power to say anything back.
They're supposed to be bound to common carrier rules at this point the same as your ISP or mail service.
I think what you really need to worry about is this. Twitter will disappear anyone it likes for any reason. Anyone that they disagree with for example.
