As it says in the title, the police in my area have said they will not enforce any of DeWine's Kung Flu decrees. They will not respond to calls over violations. They will not enforce them in any way, shape, or form. They will not support Ohio's Department of Health with any stage of action, be it issuing notices or collecting fines. To all those claiming the police aren't on our side- it really depends on the police. The police near me are good. They are backing us.

Absolutely. And all the constant mask nazi calls they get. "Oh, someone is walking a dog WITHOUT A MASK! You have to do something! He's killing grandma!" I live in a pretty solid area, but we still have our fair share of commies running around.

Sheriffs or Police?
Police (city between 20k and 25k). The Sheriffs are refusing as well, but the police near me have also refused.

I really don't understand the endgame strategy for these governors imposing lockdowns. They can't hope to get re-elected. The bulk of their campaign funds come from businesses, and what business would donate to a governor who nearly (or did) ruin them? I predict Mike DeWine, that keebler elf lookin motherfucker, is going to have a republican challenger. Doesn't matter who it is, people will give them their last dollar just to make sure DeWine is gone.

I think it has to do with direct election of sheriffs. City cops are rank and file bureaucrats. Their only accountability is to the city council/major/city manager etc. Sheriffs are accountable to the people that elect them.
