I've never believed that masks were any kind of protection, but like many I just don't have time to rock the boat. Sorry, some days I've just got shit to do. Like many pede's on here, I'm just done.

Wife and I were headed to the grocery store last night, and I warned her (because I'm not a dick) that I'm done - and not planning to wear a mask at the store. I'm taking one, and I'm keeping it in my pocket. If someone who works at the large grocery chain wants to come ask me put it on, then I'd have that nice and polite conversation with them. But I'm not doing it because a "sign" says so.

I've regularly seen a small handful of individuals walking around maskless here. Tonight I joined them. And surprise (not really) no one said a word. I saw another couple and another gentleman with his daughter without as well.

This will be my operating mode from now on. Unless someone is playing guard dog at the door - I'm walking in without a mask. Period.

If you are on this site and still wearing a mask, stop!

I do work at healthcare facilities, so I don't really have an option when I'm on site. I'm taking my stand out in public on my own time.

Work is my only exception. I will wear it at work, but only because they're paying me. Thankfully I only have to go in once a week.

Good on you. My wife knows I will say fuck it and remove my mask if they aren't enforcing it

There’s a guard dog at the entrance of every store around me.

Sorry to hear that. I'm in a medium sized town in Central Texas, not one of the big blue cities.

This is amazing to hear! Thanks for taking that step.

I think it's just going to come down to people just not putting it on. No grandiose statement - just going on about life.

I only wear a mask at the doctors office and the bank when the cop makes me put it on

Good on you man, I have been doing the same and I am in Australia (Where we had a mandated mask policy) We still do, but no longer outside. Only indoors.

I was in a thrift store looking for some new vinyl records yesterday, about 15 people in the small store, all wearing masks.

I took mine off and made it verbally clear to the person I was with "I'm taking this fucking commie mask off"

Not a single word throughout my shop. It was liberating.

Excellent! What State? Here in WA Costco got really really stupid about it. Masks or for those with 'medical exemptions', face shields. I haven't gone to Costco since February.

Did this on Thanksgiving. Same exact strategy and result. I'm sure I got some looks, but it felt great. No more sheep status.
