A Federally-Owned asset with mandatory utilization in all elections, all states (and territories). Paper ballot based, no "fractional calculation" software, no local operator options for manual adjustment of votes or tallies, no internet connection, time-stamping of each ballot as counted COMBINED WITH real Voter ID and strict procedural controls which are actually enforced with FEDERAL penalties imposed for violations. ONE absentee ballot processing location per state with all outgoing ballot distribution, incoming receipt, and counting/tabulation and records retention at that location. Etc Etc.... and National Guard deployed as necessary to secure the system.

Have a government sponsored competition, not open to businesses or commercial interests.

A handsome prize awarded for a scalable, open-source, secure national voting system. That will be mandated for all elections of public officials.

Lol so give a central body complete control and expect it not to be corrupt. This is the same as when American allowed the federal reserve act or any socialism promoted agenda. Give the power to the people!!!!

Favor please: Who are "the people" in the context of your comment? It seems to me that is exactly the system we have now and it's not worked out very well. I am by no means a fan of centralized anything - but in matters such as elections I view this element as being a part and parcel of "providing for the common defense". We have one Army, one Navy, one Air Force and a demonstrated need for one election process.

Preamble to the Constitution:

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

At a local level as possible... People have been excluded via dem/rep party policies and need to wake up. One can't expect a central government that intrinsically has the desire for more control to stand for the individuals interests. If we fail at a local level then we fail as a nation.

Alas, I believe you have captured the essence of what we are living through today in the sentence: "If we fail at a local level then we fail as a nation." With an increasing probability that cheating and fraud will be proven to have occurred in all 50 states I don't think we have the luxury of enough time for the people to wake up en masse - and it's now a game of "rock-paper-scissors" with nothing less than the Republic at stake.
