A lot of our sayings in our culture comes from the Bible. We have rejected the Bible in our modern society but our early roots still have an influence where people will often quote the Bible without knowing that they just did.
And the converse: people think they're quoting the Bible when it never says anything like that. Ex:
God works in mysterious ways.
That's just an excuse for being lazy and out of touch.
I'm not in favor of a theocracy but "American culture" exists, and is inextricable from the Bible. Which is why leftists hate it so much they pretend it doesn't exist. Just like evidence of election fraud.
The Founding Fathers were totally against theocracy, but conversely, they couldn't imagine a culture that wasn't Christian-based. A lot of our freedoms and principles don't make sense outside of a Christian cultural environment.
i think people have an innate need for spirituality and when they reject God they still end up in something that if they could look at the big picture it'd make them feel stupid, but you know how it is
like I'm a millennial pede and there are very, very few people my age that go to Church at all. I see all the time growing up and even now where women would not be religious and would think being religious is stupid and then they unironically believe in that horoscope zodiac sign bullshit
I like to study to better myself and I also read scripture everyday, even if itβs just one verse.
It amazes me the principals discovered by people I read from the self improvement books and how they often agree with the Bible. Some people do contradict the Bible, yes, but more often they do not!
Waaaay too many "atheists" in our society have absolutely no clue that they're still mostly following the teachings of the bible, and they just assume that's "normal" human behavior everywhere. That's why so many are completely oblivious to how people from many foreign cultures actually live.
If you read the Bible in the OT, humans were savages. They were murdering and raping each other. That's how society looks like in a world with no God. Even King David was a barbaric cutthroat in modern standards.
Tis True

Rise and shine because the writing's on the wall! Come, let us reason together and go the extra mile.
Haha, I like your name. Although your name would be more true on reddit than here.
No doubt. I decided to just use the same name when I immigrated here (legally).

A cultural environment which requires Christians.

I want to use the Bible in teaching my kids to read. I don't have kids though.
