I was just talking to a moderate friend yesterday and I remember mentioning some recent politics to him. He responded saying "oh you're taking the contrarian position. How surprising (sarcasm)."
It was at this moment that something dawned on me. Literally every single one of my views in life is a minority position or counter to the mainstream. Contrarian one could call it almost. To me that's unsettling because I realized things would be so much better if I lived in a society where my values/beliefs were the mainstream. I swear we used to have that. 60 years ago, my views would have aligned with the mainstream. I just feel like the last 60 years of "progress" has actually been total decadence. I'm not even old either, I'm 32yo and was raised on all these "progressive" ideas but then realized they were all a joke and lies as I got older.
Will our society ever escape this reality covered in a veil of lies that has been fed to us?
I'm your age. In real life we are still mainstream. All my same age peers in my personal circle are focused on working to raise their families. Plenty of our age stay at home moms or part time working mom's with blue collar husband's and 2.5 kids. No body wants to be taxed into poverty or have their ability to defend their home and family taken away. They all hate the loss of freedom from Covid. The only left wing peers I know are from college and they are all getting married, buying homes and making babies too. All the really left wing ones have been oddly silent this election season, sometime I wonder if they are slowly becoming red pilled as they buy property, pay taxes, and have children?
A lot of them likely do become redpilled simply because it works to their benefit.
If you actually evaluate how our State laws work, you'll see that they benefit single young women the most or any group. The way our social structure is, public institutions, careers, culture, Hollywood, etc... everything is benefiting the single young woman the most. Once women gain some age and especially a husband, they start to realize a lot of things in society are working against families and men. Once a woman is married now the man's interests are her interests because it's the family's interests (which is why family is such an important dynamic because it brings balance to the gender war).
Here's some voting stats. You'll see that married women voted about the same as married men and for Trump. The real detractor is single women who voted predominantly for Biden. This ties into my earlier paragraph to give some support to what I was saying. The left has weaponized single women against society, which is why so many policies (education, career, hollywood, social values/customs) promote women being single.
