I am curious about when these Ballots we run multiple times through the counting machine. Does the machine only read the votes? or does it know 1 vote to Trump and tie that vote to ballot number 1234567?

When have a stack of 50 run through 8-10 times is that just 500 votes or does the system know ballot 1234567 has already been counted?

What I don't understand is how they pass a recount like this? How could they know how many ballots were re-run when doing a recount? Ahhhh the images... The machines store images. So they could detect duplicates in the images, then add that amount back to the recount on the sly.
