Hmmm... Not so sure I agree with this.

Removing salaries for elected officials increases the need for "alternative income" which increases the risk of bribery, kickbacks, and corruption.

Something more useful would be something like their elected positions salary is tax-free, but any income over that is taxed at 110%

It can't be a job, as soon as it becomes a career it can be held over their head as leverage.

Honestly you could do 90% of their job on the weekends
