They don't. The trucks have GPS but trailers do not. I was a USPS contractor and did exactly what this guy did for 7 years. It would be super easy to commit almost any sort of fraud when it comes to this, trust me. The USPS is a joke.
Why can’t someone (doj/ fbi) look at EZ-Pass cameras on route that night? They can track the truck, when it left, maybe even get a pic of who drove it.
Of course they don’t care to get to the truth so they won’t bother
This should be treated like a terrorist attack man hunt. Not just this guy’s particular instance but overturning every stone to find answers. Just as the fbi went after the Boston bomber

It wasn’t the truck, it was the trailer. They should still be able to find when it rolled out and what was dragging it with surveillance cameras.
Perhaps that is why he repeated the trailer number several times?
