That appears to defend the AP article and put blame elsewhere. It takes blame away from Barr saying that the DoJ hasn't concluded it's investigating or made an official statement - but we all know what impact Barr's statements had because...

...Trump's White House put out a statement regarding what Barr said. Was Trump duped too? (The answer is no).

So either I'm really confused or the DoJ did not accuse the AP of changing anything. It was more aimed at other media outlets drawing their own conclusions.
