The only reason I think it might be, is he didn't have permission to call in, and if it had some code to get in, they could say he hacked it. I know it's flimsy, but I've seen suits get by on less.

LOL typical CNN bullshit threats. Unless he is airing personal info, addresses etc, it's not illegal. James has good lawyers, he's not some high school kid who happened to record a few phone calls. He has obviously consented with his legal team first
