AP goes fishing for soundbite from Barr, doesn't really get one so they construe one instead by taking him out of context.
AP then publishes story and people who already don't trust Barr because they don't think he's actually doing anything jump on it and start raging.

I don't trust AP but Trump's campaign team releasing a public statement in response to Barr is what makes it seem legit.

What Barr actually said was definitely taken out of context. Not saying Barr isn't compromised in some way, but this is demoralization propaganda.
I wouldn't be surprised if a decent amount of the people here are young and are used to instant gratification. Any whiff of bad news leads to spiraling when you aren't used to losing or having an uphill battle.

You are absolutely right. This may be cover for Barr, but at this point no one trusts him. He was a strong defender of the President during impeachment, but he appears to be letting the FBI do as little as possible.
So you may have a point, but the fact that no ones believe it either way is probably the best cover Barr will ever get.
