I can not prove this but I had an interaction with a post office employee regarding packages being marked delivered and not showing up until hours later after about 10-15 times of this happening and filing reports the postal worker stated over the phone that they had been told to mark all packages and mail delivered/received by 8pm pst regardless if it was or not, so like clock work all my mail and packages would be marked delivered between 7:40-7:50pm pst every day. I told the rep that it sounded a lot like fraud and to her credit the postal worker said it is insane and causing all kinds of trouble within their systems. This started about 1 month before election. Didn’t think much more about it until now.
Can you provide context or possibly file a FOIA? I know this seem trivial, but it is not. If you were willing to contact Sidney or Lin or Trump team and give them the details about this call, then a FOIA could determine if they were indeed testing delivering packages marked later than received. Yes, in the case of the situation mentioned by op this does not directly apply. But I can think of several states that if this as working it does. Please at least take the trouble to contact the teams for this interaction as it may play significantly to ongoing cases.
