Had the same interaction at A Meijers in a different state. Corporate policy is for them to "inform you that you should wear a mask". They cannot mandate it, question your inability to wear one due to medical (etc.) nor can they tell you it's a law, which in most cases (don't know of one state that actually has a mask law) it isn't.
