Having been to college myself, I agree that hookup culture is toxic and needs to be destroyed. I don't like this narrative though that hookup culture "benefits men," it doesn't benefit men. It specifically benefits bad men at good men's expense. It creates an environment where you feel like the only way you'll ever be happy is if you become an aggressive douchebag. While I have met plenty of men who have slept around to a small extent that were still good men. I have never met a guy who was committed to promiscuity that wasn't an asshole in numerous areas of life. And by committed to it, I mean men who openly glorify in it and demand the "freedom" to have multiple sex partners.

A virtuous society cannot exist simultaneously with widespread hookup culture. Making men responsible for the happiness and well being of a woman before sex motivates men towards good behavior because they have to be a good and responsible person or else they'll never get to have sex. In modern day hookup culture, the biggest scumbag imaginable can easily have sex, knocking up God knows how many women and live life like nothing is wrong. Not only that, but hookup culture actually deincentivizes men from being good people because having a moral compass gets you mocked. This is yet another poisoning of our culture that the university system is responsible for promoting.
