All you have to do is be nice. Especially in the workplace. People aren't as nice to men as they are to women overall.

As a woman in corporate America, whenever I hear women in corporate America start a sentence with "as a woman", I always counter sometime later with "as a woman, I feel it's important to appreciate my male coworkers because blah, blah, blah and all my male coworkers have wives, girlfriends, female friends, sisters, moms, daughters, grandma's who they don't want to see be discriminated against/mistreated". Then I like to throw in something about men were literally made to be different from women for the survival of the human race. Also add something about what a lesser way of thinking it is to think someone could have a son, brother, dad, husband who isn't being treated right.
