Instead of just being a doomerfag calling everyone on here a faggot, I have decided to post some helpful advice and suggestions. I don't care who you are, what you believe or whatever. I would like it if all 74,000,000 of us could get through this with no issue, but alas I see dark days ahead and not just because it's December...

With that in mind, here's some free advice.

Food

Obviously a no brainer... but still some of you might think the grocery store is an option. It won't be. And do you really want to resort to having to steal from your neighbors? In the immediate, I recommend dehydrated products. As well as MREs (Meals Ready to Eat). You can also get some proteins shots as well. I myself shop at MyPatriotSupply, but any supplier you find or even your local surplus store should offer a good selection to choose from. Make sure you have a 25 year shelf life. You can't grow wrong with any amount. Buying a year's worth might seem like a lot and it is... but you can start small. Some food is better than no food. For long term, I recommend reading some gardening and farming books. Make sure you get them now.

Guns and ammo

I recommend at least a .556 or .308 rifle. But at the very least a 9mm or greater side arm to start. Ideally you want a pistol, a rifle and a shotgun. If I had to choose one, I would go with the rifle. It can double for hunting purposes if needs be which can help to support the food situation. In close quarters combat it can become an extreme liability without a sidearm so if you can only get a rifle, try to avoid close quarters. Again, can't have too many bullets, but I would say a 500 round minimum is a good goal.

Survival Gear

There is no limit to what gear you need. A large knife and string are very bare essentials, but honestly a shed full of survival gear is by no means "too much". Most of what you need can be found in any camping section. Emergency shelters, first aid kits, sleeping bags- you think of it, you probably need it. Absolutely make sure you have a radio receiver with shortwave. It may come down to that being your only means of entertainment and information so make sure it has different power sources or at the very least you can charge it using solar. My most important tip with this is you get what you pay for. I have been duped with some of the gear I bought because I thought the deal was good... turned out to be cheap Chinese bullshit that broke on the first camping trip. Also make sure you at least have a deck of cards. Survival will have a lot of down time.

Enjoy the good times while we got em

No amount of mental prep can prepare you for anything until it happens. So don't waste time trying to prepare your mind for a never ending camping trip. As long as you have your guides and supplies, make the best of society while it still lasts. Enjoy some indulgences. Yeah, when it hits those first couple weeks are gonna suck. You're gonna miss amenities. You're gonna miss electronic bliss. You're gonna miss everything. That's normal. Just remember to keep going even when it seems like all hope might be lost. Band together with friends and neighbors. Learn an instrument. There's no knowing what exactly is coming or when it will hit, but that doesn't mean you have to be like the rest of the morons who stayed complacent. Our hope is that we get our restart on this country and go back to the Constitution and a freer country. But that won't happen without you. Whether or not you fight directly in the battles or just live to help rebuild America, we will all need to get through the shit if we're gonna get our country back.

I wish this website had more of an orientation towards this kind of topics instead of the surface level NOnStoP RaLLy nonsense.

Idealistically mods would sticky stuff like this and we could collectively add inputs as we saw fit.

I'll add a lifestraw/iodine/berkey system to the list. Purification REDUNDANCY.

Start maintaining your tools/equipment now, keep them in top shape and learn to keep them that way without outside influences.

What does car maintenance look like when you have no auto parts store, no youtube, no mechanics etc. Sharpening tools?

Start gardening NOW. No fucking reason to have a backyard, they're wastes of time/energy/water. start a victory garden. Learn to can/jar.

I grow tobacco, cannabis, poppies and don't partake in any of them solely because they will be beneficial as a cash replacement.

Go for a run. The majority of you larpers posting with your vests/guns can't run a mile without stopping.

I agree. And all good suggestions.

I need to be rallying to weather a storm.
