He feels powerless against the people ruling over him, and so he takes advantage of the opportunity to feel powerful over someone else in the same way. He wants to emulate the abuse that he is experiencing, and feel righteous in channeling that abuse onto someone he feels safe in abusing. A lone, small woman is a perfect target. He can act out all the authoritarian policing that he feels subjected to - and hates himself for being helpless against - and somehow glean some satisfaction from not being at the bottom of the pecking-order.
That psychological principle is the root of all this mask stuff. The social and mental conditioning that it imprints upon a society is the fundamental groundwork to creating a submissive, anti-individualist global population ruled by a few ultra-elite masters.
