The Department of Defense was long ago compromised by Deep State Civilians, the ones that actually control nearly every aspect of our domestic military facilities.
No General Officer makes a decision about his or her command without considering the approval of their civilian employees, with 20-30 plus years at the same location, entrenched in the politics and back room deals that make it run or more importantly, grind to a screeching halt if they are pissed off with the Officer in Charge of their unit.
Long term civilian military employees in management/policy positions, are the dangerous part of Deep State, that no one talks about.
Military leaders have the obligation to not follow orders if they are found unlawful/unconstitutional. So if SCOTUS declared a Civilian order to be unlawful and or unconstitutional, and civilian pushes through, leadership at any point in the chain of command has the obligation to disobey, as stated in our General Orders.
