I actually don't buy the "their property their rules" argument. Can they charge me more because I'm wearing a blue shirt? Can they make the women go to the back of the line? We must adhere to the principle that private property is sacrosanct. If a business wants to say that no blue shirts can enter, then they should be able to do that. Let the market decide. If all the customers were blue shirt wearers, then the business will soon go out of business.

Private businesses should be able to make their own decisions about what does, and does not happen on their properties. Think about it. The business pays the property taxes, mortgage, pays for the business licenses, pays the utilities, pays the employees, etc. I'd say that gives them some skin in the game to dictate what goes on. Would you like your neighbor to come over and start dictating shit to you about what goes on in your house? You pay the bills for that house, not your neighbor. Your neighbor has zero skin in the game.

We went to Florida for a thanksgiving super spreader extravaganza and I was shocked at how many businesses required masks (without any mandate), then probably 95% of people had them on everywhere.

How many hundreds of times do you think it will take for the store employee to say “put on a mask” and get scowled at/argued with, before the employee gives up and just stops asking?

Took my kid to the museum the other day, said we couldn’t wear a mask due to health reasons and they just said “okay” and we went on our way.
Received some mean looks from other parents, masking their children that appeared younger than 2 and beyond but simply smiled at them when I noticed.
