I grew up in the 80's and loved Trump. Loved his brash style and read the Art of The Deal many times. It was basically The Art of War in business terms.
My father really liked him as well.
A note. My father had a 160 IQ and made money the hard way. Through commercial roofing and no favors. He hated favors and always turned them down.
Dad always had a rolodex, but never used it. He said, Trump has one also, but doesn't use it. I asked my father, why? he said, it is to make people who you love but don't have the IQ, feel at ease. Be careful of being proud.
When I was in my teens my dad would force me to memorize 10 numbers each day before going out to do repairs. He was brutal on memorization. funny thing. it is actually easy to memorize things for average intelligence people. we just are not pushed to do it anymore.
Why did my Dad love Trump?
Trump is sober and loves America. It was that simple. Trump has never done drugs or drank. Was huge for my father. Also, he knew Trump was as smart as they come.
Wish my Father was still alive to see this moment in our country.
He would be Proud to be an American.
couple of things my father said before he passed.
Trump is more about the Prince by Machievelli than the Art of war. That book was written about how a great leader was wished to return Italy to the days of Rome. It takes someone like Trump.
Second, Trump grew up with Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. Some people do not buy into it, but Trump thinks positive at all times and does not let doomers into his orbit. He is tough that way.
Miss you dad!!!
Hope you were right.
Thank you for sharing this.
Your dad sounds like a man's man.
Thank you. He was for sure!!!
