Thank you for this response. I have been curious about this play for ages but never had the stomach to watch it because I don’t support the bastardization of our history. This is a perfect summary.

I know people who love musicals and I know people who love cringey left wing propaganda. It’s the latter group who loved Hamilton.

I guarantee at least half the people who saw it thought it was dumb. But if you ask them if they liked it their brain will interpret it as “are you racist?” and therefore the only response they can give is to enthusiastically express support for it

There are honestly some good moments in Hamilton. To the point where it wouldn’t be woke enough and NEVER would have happened today. Listen to The Room Where it Happens. It’s so apropos to what we are dealing with in this election. But no it’s not completely historically accurate and the POC thing is Ok but they exclude whites. Which is just weird.
