Yes any W2 workers get their taxes taken out automatically. Its law and you can't request the employer to not take out your half of the tax.

I correct. Ask to fill out a new w4 and claim defendants or exempt. Far less will be removed from your check.

Correct. You can however, talk to them about potentially contract 1099ing you. It's a benefit for them because then they aren't having to pay any taxes in for you, and if they are a company with 50 or more employees, then that's one less regarding the health care tax companies pay.

The problem is that most big corporations aren't going to bite the hand that feed them massive tax breaks.

I already checked with mine and they are in that boat. Plus I would need a higher pay rate to handle the tax offset.
