Had a stupid ass libtard co-worker who is also a union rep wrongly bring up politics in the office again today. In addition, she already knows I'm a huge Trump supporter. This occurred right after we had a meeting about a deceased co-worker. What's wrong with these people? Seriously?!! Do they have NO DECENCY to know when to shut their mouth? My blood pressure is bad enough and now it's worse after this. I don't understand why/how they live like this! I am not one to use the word hate as I am a God loving human. But I AM FEELING ABSOLUTE HATRED FOR HER right now. Just had to vent to my fellow PEDES. Any recommendations on what to do with this person I work across the hall from?!!

Depends! I think she's definitely the tattle tale type if she's offended. Plus, she's a union rep and if I ever needed union backing, she could make it difficult to get protection. Idk, plus we have cameras all over the building and I don't trust her with making shit up either.
Whenever filing a complaint make sure you tell the management or HR person that you're concerned there will be retribution. After you do that, the HR rep is obligated to protect you, & if he/she is honest they will face-off with your accuser & tell her that they know she'd try & get revenge, & to stop or there'll be consequences. I've seen this situation a lot in my position as a Steward. But if this lady is rarely a jerk, it might be better to just overlook it.
As far as her being the Shop Steward, if she tries to pull bs on you that's going to screw you, go over her head & complain directly to your Union Representative, the person who works for the Union. They're often understanding of these things & can get her to quit f-ing around. If instead the Union starts messing with you to support her, you can file a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board. Nothing is more embarrassing to a union than the NLRB charging them with unfair labor practices, because the charge has to be posted in public in every building your employer works in.
