"Walter Edward Williams (March 31, 1936 – December 1, 2020) was an American economist, commentator, and academic. He was the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, as well as a syndicated columnist and author known for his classical liberal and libertarian views.[2] His writings frequently appeared on Townhall.com, WND, and Jewish World Review. Did a few things.
Husband and father.
Didn't make his wife move from their nest in Pennsylvania when he was a professor in Virginia. He stayed in Virginia from Tuesdays through Thursdays, and went home to Pennsylvania. They had one daughter. His wife left this world in 2007.
He was very laissez-faire.
Did it his way. Brooked no foolishness ever at any time.
Black by popular demand! I loved hearing him fill in for Rush.
I loved hearing him rail against preferential treatment of minorities. Was proud that his education was the best for his growth, considering it a disservice to think of being overwhelmed at a school like Harvard just to fill a quota.
One of my favorite. I’m a white Canadian who has a wife of 40yrs and 9 children and 22 grandchildren and Walter really had a lot of the values that I embrace.
President Trump 2021!!!
I once wrote him an email asking him if he'd run for President during the Clinton Administration. He replied and thanked me, but, told me that know way he'd ever be a politician. What a great man! The world is dimmer for his passing, heaven is celebrating his arrival.
Wait a second. The media kept saying you guys were racists.... NPC confusion noises. Racists ideolozing a black man?!? Error error... Execute uncletom.exe.
This is very upsetting. Such a good man and so perceptive. He maintained a cheerful demeanor although he could see quite clearly where we are headed. He will be missed in the battle line.
I mourn the news of Walter's passing. I knew and admired him for many years.
God rest you, warrior. Bring thine peace to Mrs Williams.
He was 84.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a wonderful man. RIP.
Say it ain't so. This man was hidden from me while I was in the inner-city schools.
One of the greatest AMERICANS of our generation.
R.I.P.
How can this not be stickied? This is one of the greatest Americans of the last 50 years.
For real. A national treasure
Agreed. The United States lost a great patriot.

That is great. He is more conservative than some faggots here.

Oh no, this is a great loss.
Rest in peace, Mr Williams.
Men of his character and intellect are rare. I'm saddened to hear of his passing. He will be missed indeed.
Walter Williams first came on my radar with the piece he wrote about seatbelt laws: “Who Owns Walter Williams?”
I don’t know who this blogger is but he posted the article and it’s the only copy I can find on DDG. It’s a good read.

Excellent. Thank you.
Great! Thanks for sharing.
He was always one of my favorite hosts for Rush Limbaugh.
Rest easy Walter. I hope we meet in heaven some day.
I wish he had been the first black President rather than Obama!
Rest in peace, sir.

The greatest WEW LAD

I was fortunate enough to have discovered him several years ago. He's one of the first columnists that I regularly read. He will be missed!
Wow. This is a true loss for our country. One of the greatest minds of our time. RIP.
Back together with Mrs. Williams.
Rest in Peace Patriot. My thoughts are with you and yours.
Sad news, he used to be my favorite stand in for Rush. Always talking about his wife, absolutely hilarious and a true patriot.
Very sad news. I loved it when he was guest host on Rush Limbaugh's show.
I always made sure to read his articles when they popped up on Lew Rockwell's site. One of the best.
A great loss. Prayers for his family, friends, and fans.
God bless you, Professor Williams and "may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
Rest In Peace.

Sadly I am not certain if I had listened to him.
He was a mental giant and his passing will leave an intellectual crater in this country at a most perilous time.
Loved his editorials since the 90s...true distiller of facts into practical wisdom. Charles Krauthammer was a big loss as well.
RIP Walter. I loved listening to him.
RIP sir and God speed
Rest In Peace Mr. Williams
W.E.W. Lad!
i remember listening to his show at night on WHDH radio then later on WRKO when i was a kid. along with rush and howie carr.
RIP, he was a legend!
