I asked RINO Rob Portman to support Matt Gaetz, Ted Cruz and others in the need for and investigation into fraud. I told him this election being stolen from we the people is a line that can not be crossed. Here is what the RINO sent me:

"Responding to your message Senator Rob Portman

Thank you for contacting me regarding the 2020 Presidential Election. It is good to hear from you and I appreciate the opportunity to engage with you.

The U.S. presidential election was held on November 3, 2020. With historic turnout across the board, it is clear that the American people were fully engaged in this election. The strong turnout for both candidates and both parties is a healthy sign for our democracy. Along with more than 71 million Americans, and a majority of Ohio voters, I voted for President Trump.

Right now, former Vice President Biden is leading in enough states to win the presidency. In this close election, President Trump has every right to insist that all legally cast ballots are counted. He also has the right to appropriate recounts and the right to go to court to resolve any questions about irregularities. Allowing a fair and transparent process at this juncture is important to providing Americans more assurances of the integrity of the election and helping the country heal after a contentious campaign.

Under our Constitution, state legislatures set the rules and states administer our elections. We should respect that process and ensure that all ballots cast in accordance with state laws are counted. There is a timeline set out in the Constitution and federal law for choosing electors through final certification of the results, as well as contingencies that may occur along the way. This year, one crucial deadline in a law establishing a "safe harbor" for states to certify their electors falls on December 8. This means that if Congress receives those slates of Trump or Biden electors by that date, those slates are final. Going past that deadline would cause unprecedented uncertainty and raise serious constitutional questions. In Bush v. Gore in 2000, the Supreme Court said the safe harbor date "is designed to lead to a conclusive selection of electors…" and felt it necessary to finalize its decision by that date.

States have now completed counting votes and most battleground states will have certified their election results as of this week. Some state recounts have been completed and those remaining are expected to be completed within the next two weeks. Based on all the information currently available, neither the final lawful vote counts nor the recounts have led to a different outcome in any state. In other words, the initial determination showing Joe Biden with enough electoral votes to win has not changed.

There is no more sacred constitutional process in our great democracy than the orderly transfer of power after a presidential election. It is now time to expeditiously resolve any outstanding questions and move forward.

The presidential election was contentious and hard fought. Roughly half of America was bound to be disappointed with the outcome. My hope is that all of us, as Americans, regardless of who we supported in the campaign, will be willing to accept the result because a thorough process was followed and the final vote count was clear.

I also want to commend and congratulate Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, the county boards of elections, and the more than 50,000 Ohio poll workers for conducting a safe, secure, and transparent election in Ohio. It was not easy in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and I am grateful for their efforts.

Our country faces serious challenges, from the public health and economic crises brought on by COVID-19, to an epidemic of drug addiction, to our growing national security threats. To solve these problems, we need to come together and rise above the dysfunction in Washington. I know if we work together we can deliver results and make a real difference in the lives of Ohioans and all Americans.

Thank you again for contacting me. It is an honor to represent you and the great state of Ohio in the United States Senate. Please visit www.portman.senate.gov for more information.

Sincerely,

Rob Portman U.S. Senator"

I responded letting him know that we can not have healing without investigations and transparency. This lack of governmental accountability and transparency will break our country in two. These RINO's think they are preventing conflict when in fact that are almost going to guarantee conflict. We the people chose Donald Trump. Trump won and now we will prove it. These RINO's should be held to account with the dems.

We need someone to run against him. Someone good. I refused to vote for him the last time. He just walks in every time.

We need to do some house cleaning. Outside of Jim Jordan it's embarrassing. We are better than this.

Our elected republicans are a special kind of RINO in Ohio, De wine being a prime example.

How do we find patriots willing to run?

That's a great question that I don't have an answer to, but we can't use that as an excuse. We need to do better at promoting and empowering patriots.

Very true. I'm in Cincinnati. Where 3 of the city council are being charged with taking bribes, and a 4th is rumored to be involved too. So local city govt is not the answer. I intend to look closely at the county level officials for potential.

I'm in Columbus and have found the same. We need to form groups across the country to convince patriots to step up and run. My dad always said "The problem with politics is the people smart enough to run are smart enough to realize politics is a dirty profession that corrupts most". Need to find a way to combat the corrupting campaign funds. Very difficult but clearly necessary.

You could tell he couldn't even be bothered to give a real response. Trying to sit on the fence while siding with the guy he thinks will get him better press. I'm still going to keep emailing him.

He's clearly weak, keep pushing and he will fold. Try to get one decent thing out of him before we toss him out.

Yes!!! Ohioan here (and straight ticket republican of 30 years) and I intend to actively campaign against the POS Rob Portman for his failure to support POTUS and protect my vote. We do need a good replacement and time to build that person up and promote them!
