This is the AlphaFold Team. The team behind a 50 yo biology "Grand Challenge". These people are incredible and worthy of praise. So what is the most grandiose thing they may be able to accomplish with this anyways? They basically cracked the code for proteins. I've heard advancement in pharmaceuticals and recycling plastics waved around, but what is the big leap here exactly?

Cracking genetic coding birthed the entire field of genetic engineering, cloning, etc., what does this get us?
