Is this love, that I'm feeling? The accent did it for me.

Hmm, is it? I've been in Michigan my whole life and no one I have heard speak that's a Michigan native has that accent, nor myself.

There are a lot of sounds in there that are typical. Hard R, forward vowels, hard A sounds. I dunno, I'm no expert. Just sounds like it to my crummy ears.

Not worth arguing about. Anyone is free to disagree. And of course, my wife can't hear her own accent either.

It just doesn't seem like a native born Michiganian -- not that has to be. She sounds a little more southern or western, I haven't been able to pick it out.

True about not being able to detect your own accent as a general rule, but you can usually tell if someone sounds the same as you, and she doesn't sound like any of my family or peers.

I was told that I had an accent by my PA cousins.. but they said ooo.nooo. In place of OH. NO. We laughed back at them
