Doesn’t this just prove they all hated Trump... from there very beginning.... and they all just lied in his face.

That was clear as day during the primary, not that anyone remembers.

Oh, I remember. But unfortunately, the majority of Trump supporters -- including a large chunk of people on TD -- are still suffering from Battered Conservative Syndrome.

The adage in 2015/16 was to NEVER TRUST A NEVER TRUMPER.

Too many people have forgotten. Sad.

The problem is that at some point, you have to or nothing gets done. They knew that and exploited it 100% for their personal gain. Even so, the country was better for it for a blink, but now we are about to see everything unravel in a half blink if Trump and us can’t find a way.

"Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019

This bill increases the per-country cap on family-based immigrant visas from 7% of the total number of such visas available that year to 15%, and eliminates the 7% cap for employment-based immigrant visas. It also removes an offset that reduced the number of visas for individuals from China.

The bill also establishes transition rules for employment-based visas from FY2020-FY2022, by reserving a percentage of EB-2 (workers with advanced degrees or exceptional ability) and EB-3 (skilled and other workers) visas for individuals not from the two countries with the largest number of recipients of such visas. Of the unreserved visas, not more than 85% shall be allotted to immigrants from any single country."

What does this mean? Sounds like it doesn't increase tho total number of visas, just earmarks more of them fore 'high skill' immigrants - isn't that good? What does trump say about this?

27
jedmeyers 27 points ago +27 / -0 (edited)

It means millions of Indians and Chinese will take 85% of all available green cards for at least next two generations (instead of 7%+7% right now). So much for “diversity”, right?

18
iamherefortheluls 18 points ago +18 / -0

establishment seeking to make up for lost time

13
HiddenHand 13 points ago +15 / -2

I read it differently. It seems to not increase the total number (good), but increases the ratio of the visas given through chain migration (you get a visa because a fsmily member has one too). Family based used to be 7% of the whole amount, now 15%?

Then it increases the potential number of chinks coming in (BAD).

But yeah, now that I re-read, it seems to remove the cap on employement based immigration, meaning that likely more skilled immigrants will get in.

Well it doesn't increase the total number of visas but seems to reshuffle its allocation.

Not sure what to think about it tbh...

27
ViolentNPCS 27 points ago +27 / -0

Dunno, maybe, I don't want to jump to conclusions though. I feel we miss a portion of the story. Why the urge to pass this one out while some GOP weren't there to vote?

Why unanimous?

10

Could have call them CCPeople if that sounds less harsh to you. With everything going on, there shouldn't be one CCPeople coming into the US.

Because a lot of CCPeople come here with a bunch of subventions and bonuses paid by the CCP to buy out the entire country. Just look at Canada. Just look at Africa.

China is at war with the Western way of life. Believe it or not. We can't trust a single one of them.

1
FiatLux 1 point ago +1 / -0

3
Ptannerdactyl 3 points ago +3 / -0

If you worked in the tech industry, you’d understand why having “skilled” immigrants is bad when your corporation only hires them because they’re cheap and won’t try to negotiate their salary. Meanwhile they’re shit at their job and the communication issues drag everyone through the floor, yet their degrees say they’re just as qualified as comprable americans. Americans who could be doing these jobs, and better, get shafted because of this.

2
FiatLux 2 points ago +2 / -0

I see you’re that faggetous concern-troll who’s been mucking about lately. Allow me to bait you once more:

https://www.breitbart.com/immigration/2020/12/02/mike-lee-to-seek-senate-approval-of-his-s-386-outsourcing-bill/

[Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) is expected to seek Senate passage of his S.386 job-outsourcing bill Wednesday evening.

If no Republican or Democrat objects to Lee’s actions, his bill will pass the Senate by so-called “Unanimous Consent,” (UC), setting the stage for a joint House-Senate conference to draft a final bill.

Lee’s aggressive effort to pass the bill by UC is a threat to the GOP Senators and their slim majority, an immigration activist told Breitbart News. “They have to give Georgia Republicans a reason to vote [in January] — and UC for this bill ain’t that,” the activist said.

Lee is trying to pass the bill after Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) dropped his opposition to the legislation.

Activists hope that Georgia Senators Kelly Loeffler and Sen. David Perdue will announce opposition to the bill — although Lee’s surprise move caught them while they are campaigning in Georgia. In August, Loeffler praised President Donald Trump for adopting reforms of the H-1B program.]

The primaries are when you vote them out you shill. Not the durig the battle for the most important senate seat in the country.

Even pirates 300 years ago were smart enough to know that battles weren’t the time to change captains. How that simple logic became lost is beyond me.

Dude if Biden gets away with this fraud the US will be Europe, doesn’t matter if we hold the Senate now, they’ll steal it next chance they get. Stop thinking elections matter. They got fucking Joe Biden 80 million votes. If you think voting will matter in the future just look in the mirron and say ‘Joe Biden got 80 million votes’ and you’ll realize voting is pointless forever. Until we go to war and rebuild. No it is not.

Open your eyes and think,

How is it that Trump was able to "lose", while the GOP still won on election night.

That doesn't happen unless the GOP was in on the steal. The GOP made a deal with the Democrats.

"We'll let you get Orange Man out, but you better not fuck with the down ballot"

If the GOP wasn't in on it, the commies would have tried to fix every damn race,

Stop being naive,

There is only one opposition. His name is Donald Trump.

GOP and DNC are ONE.

0
40-More-Years 0 points ago +8 / -8

5

From what I can understand it doesn't change the actual number of cards available..I don't see that it was worth the time.

0
Maga0351 0 points ago +1 / -1

That doesn’t sound too bad then, as long as total number is capped. It actually sounds like a good thing being a shift away from the dems “equity in everything” strategy. Let’s load up on immigrants that want to MAGA, and the shitholes can keep their own citizens.

4
Bookbound 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah I thought the mantra was "We're not against immigrants, we're against Illegal immigrants" so a job that removes arbitrary limits on countries of people trying to get here sounds fine. By this tweet it looks like it applies to all legal immigration. But there may be more.

15
The_Jelqer 15 points ago +49 / -34

I was worried about Biden packing the court but the senate Republicans are probably going to go along with it. Burn the GOP to the ground

38
Aisle-is-closed 38 points ago +38 / -0

NO. DO NOT DO THIS. per GA law, in a run off, if you do not vote for those written on the ballot, your vote is immediately invalidated with no chance to be cured.

You are either stupid or a troll or an astroturfer trying to disenfranchise MAGA voters. Which is it.

14

No one on the Donald has any problem with this. Everyone on the Donald loves immigrants as long as they come legally. We don't care if 50 million people a year come into America, as long as they follow the laws to get here. And as long as they bleed red white and blue, stand for the singing of the national anthem and love liberty.

As far as people on the Donald are concerned, America can be 50% indian, 50% chinese, 25% Mexican and another 75% african, we're all colorblind. Am I doing this right?, I'm a reformed white nationalist. I'm still learning my way around color blind conservatism.

Eliminating country quotas is somewhat good though because currently we have tiny quotas for countries we should want immigration from (if we're going to have immigration anyways) andhuge quotas for countries we shouldn't want anyone from. Culture matters!! If we're going to import people we should import people with compatible culture!
