Detroit IS third world. Many abandoned houses and squatters, crimes. Everybody sensible has left.
No. Amazingly, it's really turning around since 2017. Can't figure out why. Every week I see new shit going up where blight used to be.
They definitely need an OVERHAUL of the election workers there. Kick the corrupt ones they have now the hell out and get some legit folks to run it.
The city hired a company called PIE Management to hire election workers. It is a minority owned business. They were a subcontractor for a company I worked for in the City of Detroit. They are dirty, I can attest to that.
Years ago (mid 2000s), I remember one of the managers referring to counting votes for an election. They were particularly concerned about Kwame Kilpatrick (Mayor) being re-elected, as in that was necessary. I remember that manager saying "We are gonna find the votes.". I did not realize the significance at the time.
Dude, according to my black Trump voting coworker, she already did lose her rights. Was nearly in tears, saying that her people died in mississippi for this? She's not the only one. More of my black coworkers are open Trump supporters than white ones. Don't shit on Detroit. You live in this country too. It's all of our problem.
