I've been re-watching that series recently. Was The Sopranos the last based mainstream show?? Tony Soprano even quotes FBI crime statistics after his daughter brings back a Black boyfriend.
As someone who grew up in the Italian-American community, I can say the show is 100% authentic (coming from a Chicago point of view - never been to NYC or NJ). There are some other shows that are the real deal or come close to it. I recommend Band of Brothers and The Pacific from HBO if you haven't seen them lately. But in terms of a show like the Sopranos how it just shows regular parts of life, I really don't know. Maybe Breaking Bad?
BB was amazing, but I wouldn't call it "based". It doesn't espouse traditional right-wing values like virginity, marriage, ethnic pride, anti-gayness, etc like Sopranos does (of course they lie, cheat, and kill but it's never shown in a positive light)
She kind of reminds me of Adrianna La Cerva from the Sopranos, except that she is actually smart.
Really? I saw a cross between Sarah Palin and Jenna Ellis
I can see that. The voice is definitely not Adrianna. Very Midwestern.
Plankton’s computer wife.

Whatever happened to Jamal Ginsberg the Hasidic homeboy?
In the show, he ended up taking her virginity via typical hipster douchebag male feminist bullshit, and then basically dumped her.

The Wire too
LOVED The Wire.
Pretty much. David Chase is a total fag now tho. If sopranos was made now, it wouldn’t even remotely resemble what we got in early 00s
Remember how opposed Tony and Carmella were to gay marriage
Plus the whole Vito is a fag storyline arc and Johnny Cakes
Adriana was very smart in the initial seasons and got dumber as time went on which was sad.
Same thought here. I'd still go for either😍, with a preference for MAGA of course.
But Cristafuhhhh!!
