7.62 makes better holes... and before you say that it’s a commie round, the M-14 fired that. My uncle went from the 14 to the 16 in Nam and said everyone hated it. Granted it was the first version of the M-16...

And yeah, I used to study the Vietnam war; I know the M16 had a lot of teething issues.
I think the fact that it's used by literally anyone & everyone who carries a gun for work nowadays pretty much says it all.
All the Tier 1 guys who literally have their choice of any weapon in the world - whether it exists or not - stuff is custom-made for them allll the time - carry HK416s, Daniel Defense, Geissele, etc. All AR15/M4.
Can't we just love BOTH the M1A and M4?
