Theres a lot more than people realize in New York. The dems held an official polling thing at MSG(one of the major venues in nyc), they took out billboards in times square; completely new, and unnecessary in years past with all the blue votes. They were scared. NYC was roughly 30% Trump as a whole on election night, almost every county outside was at worst 50/50ish with more rural counties obviously favoring Trump. Biden lost the Jews in brooklyn, and they vote more in sync than any other group in the nation. Voter turnout in NYC was absolutely abysmal on election day. When I got off duty there that morning there was NO one at the polls. I'm talking no one even walking in or out at multiple locations. I would not be surprised at all if NY was red.
Upstate in one of the smaller cities, there were about 100 waiting early, but by noon one could walk right in, they had two machines at this site and looked like about 500 votes. I think turnout overall was up some.
Showing the disproportion of popular vote to electoral college will absolutely be one of their main weapons. It is vital that the popular vote be as extreme as possible for them to sell this.
