She lives alone, has lost two of her three children (including my father), and no one goes to visit her. I can't, I'm out-of-state. So I call her. She answered the phone last week and wept about the state of the nation, that she had nothing left to live for, and our country has been stolen. I asked her "have you been watching Fox News, Meemaw?" She answered yes... and I told her to stop before beginning to whitepill her with news of our fight. I admit that I was shocked when, afterward, she said she had learned more from me than an entire day of watching Fox. I asked if she would call me each afternoon so I could read TheDonald to her and let her know what's going on - and she has been calling daily. She says she sleeps better now, knowing that we are fighting and that the President is fighting. I tell her "relax, we've got this".
I sent her a MyPillow and told her to rest easy knowing that freedom is on its way.

My Grandfather is a Kennedy Democrat. Pretty much card carrying. We do not discuss news, politics, or anything that goes "there". And he's a Baptist preacher. Breaks my heart. Hes my other number 1 dude. We are making due.
There was this guy I knew who would walk around saying really bizarre, inappropriate shit to people and would just get continually knocked-out. It would happen weekly. One time a bunch of girls held him down in a lawn chair and a number of guys took turns just jawing the hell out of him. I asked him one day why the hell he kept running his mouth like this, and he kept saying he didn't care. In 2005, he was found dead and robbed blind.
I'll bet your answer to this would probably be a lot like the answer he would've given.
