I live in Ga. The Loeffler race was a special election due to Issakson retiring. The term is up in 2 years so the real election with a primary will be in 2022. There were 17 candidates on the ballot for this one seat. With special elections like this it’s more like a jungle race. The candidates were also listed in alphabetical order, so Warnok even talked about that in his commercials, telling people to go all the way to the bottom of the list to vote for him.

IMO, Kemp should have appointed Collins, but I think Kemp was trying to get Leoffler in there for the ‘suburban women’ vote. Warnok is endorsed by 0bama, and his ad campaign is really well done (and well funded by out-of-state money).

Anyway, her appointment was just another fuck up by Kemp, who will be a one-term governor.

I have questioned that from day one. I really like Collins, however Loeffler regardless of her shortcomings has voted aligned with Trump agenda. So I did not understand Collins motives. If he had not run, there probably would not be a run-off.

Collins jumped in given it was very likely going to a runoff. Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but that action may have contributed to this very possible upcoming pain.

Everyone in Georgia needs to get their heads in the game and time out the disinfo voter suppression efforts on all sides.
