DIE YOU COMMIE! /S

agree, it depends on what where why and how something is fractured.

Ankle monitor. you wear them around under your pants and nobody knows you have one. It's not the old bowling ball and chain thing.

They said he sprained his ankle. No one said he broke his foot

It was a hairline fracture. It hurts like a bitch if you even look at it funny.

Exactly. If the didn’t want weight in it, he would be in a cast or some kind of wrapping.

You can still wear a boot and have a non weight-bearing status designated per physician discretion, so a cast isn't the tell-all.

I had a hairline fracture when I was 13 in my left foot. Kept it wrapped with ace bandages and used crutches as much as I could stand to. Thanks goodness it hurt when I put pressure on it otherwise I would have not used the crutches enough for it to heal (heel).

Highlight moment: after a week on the crutches, I almost missed the school bus home which (from experience) I knew meant being stuck at school an extra four hours before a parent could come get me (we lived in the boonies). I said fuck it, picked up the crutches are ran to the bus...which was loaded with kids watching what looked like a big phony!

I made it to the bus and my new nickname was "Hop-a-long/Hobble-on".

Good times!
