Nah, I've worked in physical therapy and have seen plenty of patients walk fine in those. And I've had at least 5 minor fractures in my feet and toes myself. It really depends on things like where the break is, how bad, pain tolerance etc.

In 2015 I shattered my right ankle (Talus broken into 6 different pieces, bottom of Tibia and Fibula broken into multiple pieces) and my left heel (Calcanus looked like a stack of corn flakes and smashed all the way up behind my ankle). When I asked my doctors about 6 months into it, why I was still in a wheelchair, their response was almost the samething.... the people you see walking around with a boot on have hairline fractures, you went all out.
