This isn't a concern if you cycle through and clean your masks. I, like many professionals, wear a mask 8~12 hours per day without issue. I cycle through 20 triple layer cotton masks throughout the a day or two and wash them in hot water with the laundry (NO SOFTENER!) or steam clean them in the microwave if I'm lazy (a little water in a ziploc bag, toss in the masks, heat for about 2 minutes, allow to cool in the bag, remove, toss them on a paper plate, zap for another minute, set out to dry (takes a couple minutes)).

Please don't deny that masks are useful - they're the one thing that the average person can do to help prevent the spread of a variety of pathogens and it's normal all over the world to wear them when sick to protect other people (they don't protect the wearer much, if at all, but they do reduce the spread of germs).

Nothing you state will make me believe the masks are helpful. My friend's daughter just came down with a bacterial infection in her eye from wearing a mask ALL DAY LONG at work. Her Doctor said the eye infection came from the mask. I refuse to be a sheep.
