For real though. She deserves praise for doing the right thing and being very brave. But she's not a public figure. Leave the woman's personal life alone.

I agree with staying out of her personal life.

However, she has become a public figure, like it or not.

She is not a public figure.

She is a PRIVATE CITIZEN that is being PUT INTO the PUBLIC SPOTLIGHT.

There is a huge difference. Get your shit straight.

Here's some legal info for you.

She almost certainly would qualify as a "limited purpose public figure".

a person who voluntarily and prominently participates in a public controversy for the purpose of influencing its outcome and who is thus required as a public figure to prove actual malice in a defamation suit

Haha. Thanks for proving my point. She is not a Public Figure, by definition. A qualification like this proves that she is still a private citizen.

She has also signed an affidavit, so she has already covered the legal basis of her involvement.

To insulate that she is the same as an elected official is bullshit. I know it. You know it. And everyone reading this knows it.

Well, I suppose it's fair to disagree on the interpretation of the law.

Of course. That's what a conversation is.

I'm pointing out that, even with the additional definition, this women is not a Public Figure (elected official; movie star; television personality; etc).

When a private citizen is thrust into the public spotlight and is standing up to tell the facts and truth for what they saw, the first instinct should be to protect their privacy; not wave your hand and say "oh well, their privacy doesn't matter because they are doing something publicly".

You're doing the exact opposite of what you should be doing.

Your opinion on that is ill-formed, has limited support, the support you cite actually proves my point. You should revise your thinking about this and amend your comment.

In my original comment, you'll see that I recommended we stay out of her private life.

The left won't, and they'll likely get away with harassing and defaming her (to some degree), due to established law and her choice to voluntarily come forward, which arguably makes her a public figure in the context of this election fraud.

It's a risk people take when standing up in a difficult situation. There are sometimes unfortunate consequences to doing the right thing.

If you provide a solid legal opinion which counters the points I've made, then I'll reconsider my comments.

That is all. Cheers.

We can choose to treat our public heroes differently. Also she didn't ask for it, she's just doing the right thing

Just because a bunch of pedes know who she is, doesn't make her a public figure. Certainly the general population doesn't know who she is and she hasn't made a point to be living in the public eye. Her only publicity has been from acting as a witness to voter fraud. Unlike an actor, politician, professional athlete, etc.

Holy shit. Whatever happened to a firm handshake and “God bless you” for standing up for my rights?!? Shit, I might hug that woman out of pure patriotism, but butthole licking? What the fuck?
