BLM with all of their donations could have easily freed thousands of Sudani slaves from their arab masters.

Hey now, that's not true! the Democrats care deeply about slavery, mainly keeping their slaves as per the 13th amendment. ..in all seriousness prison labor should be outlawed as it's no different than whipping someone for not picking cotton fast enough.
No one cares about foreign slaves. I couldn't give a fuck. Frankly, it's a natural human condition supported by the bible.
But if an anti slavery position hurts china, I'm all for it.
I care about foreign slaves. I am not saying I want the USA using all its resources to stop it, but it is grotesque and wrong nonetheless.
Slavery in Israel was for a period of time to repay a debt, or as a societal position given to war captives and foreign sojourners. By law, all slaves were to be freed every seven years. If one didn't want to go, the could voluntarily choose to remain a slave by piercing their ear.
I'm no historian so I can't confirm this, but I've read or seen from multiple sources the assertion that slaves were usually paid in Israel as well as in many other ancient, civilized societies.
So not exactly the same thing as unending, involuntary servitude under the threat of torture, imprisonment, retribution to loved ones, or death.
And I care about modern slaves. Many people do and make conscious daily choices to not only decrease their own world slavery impact, but also actively speak out the truth and fund programs that rescue and counsel such slaves.
Being born into freedom is a responsibility to aid those who were not.
No - all jewish slaves were for a period of time. Just like selling property - it was returned to the clan after a set period.
But foreign slaves? The philistines etc that were captured? Those are property like a goat. Just like a goat, you weren't allowed to have sex with them, but anything else was fair game.
