Good morning Senator,
I watched the full election integrity hearing held yesterday and am becoming increasingly appalled by the public statements that have been made by members of our legislature refuting wrong-doing and particularly with Senator Shirkey's statements that he would not take action in this election. With more evidence presenting itself and with witnesses offering affidavits and sworn testimony, where is the change of course based upon evidence? It is becoming more and more clear that the leadership of the Senate have a predetermined opinion on this issue which cannot be swayed by the truth.
Our country is not a democracy. We are a republic. Our Founding Fathers created this country as a republic based upon history's teachings that a democracy inevitably destroys itself. Our republic was developed for the exact circumstances you and the legislature find yourselves. The election process has been corrupted and the legislature must rise to the occasion to protect the rights of the entire state. We are not the State of Wayne County. A choice must be made to accept corruption through inaction or to fulfill your duty to protect the constitution, the State of Michigan and the United States.
I urge you to make a statement, to move forward based upon the facts presented and to confront Senator Shirkey on his statements. Leadership must LEAD. My hope is that fortitude required given the circumstances is present in the legislature. The future of our nation depends on it.
Thank you,

Good Job, I too have been writing Shirkey. I think he is more worried about his automation company as he is term limited and doesn't have the balls or foresight to see that he could ride this issue to the governor's office, if he just showed some courage and patriotism.
Thank you.
The "benefit of the doubt" scenario would be that his statement was made prematurely and he couldn't have imagined the evidence that was made available. The more likely scenario is that he is on the take.
I think you're absolutely right on the benefits. Hopefully the right people rise to the occasion and identify themselves as future leaders. We need to get the right people in the right spots.
I'm sure most men don't want the kind of attention Trump has been getting since he announced his candidacy.
