I lost my shit on a close friend this morning over their fearmongering posts on social media. Explained how my family is being affected by Covid measures and not the slope sniffles. Help me help her understand; share your stories of how Covid panic is ruining your family’s life despite not ever having the China flu.

After months on months downplaying COVID and saying FU to mandates, I caught it a week before Thanksgiving. Unlike most I had almost all the symptoms and it was fucking rough as hell. I had never been sick like that before. I have a good Dr that treated it aggressively and put me on a few steroids, nebulizer treatments and a Zpack. But this shit CAN be legit. KARMA bit me square in the asshole. Now I get super exhausted just going up the stairs. Wtf.

I know this isn't the story you were looking for, but they all need to be told.

I also had it; never been so sick in my life. Three weeks I was fucked up but everything is fine now. One relative is dying in hospital bc cancer went undiagnosed (no routine doc appointments) and another cannot get critical cardio surgery bc mUh ViRuS. So I get to lose two close relatives to something that has allegedly killed 25 people where I live. I’m sorry you had it rough with Covid, so did I. But I would infect myself 100 times over than see what’s happening to my family.

No doubt. I had been pissed at COVID for months now, I lost my wife in July due to shitty hospital rules forcing surgery patients to go home after routine surgeries rather than staying over night, and then lost my cousin a few months later to similar policies. It's unreal!

I'm also sorry for your losses as well, this shit blows, had everyone just kept their cool and not over reacted they all could have been alright. Hang in there pede

My condolences buddy, and same to you. Hold the line.

This is exactly why I keep posting the outline of outpatient treatment. The virus is nasty, and people who are sent home without treatment can turn up dead.

I have a friend whose father was terminally ill. She had to contact the governor and make a huge stink before she was allowed in to say goodbye to him. Pathetic.

Yeah I got one. I have a grandfather who lives alone in Michigan and this COVID bullshit has destroyed him mentally. He pretty much dwells around the house and watches TV since all of the diners he goes to are all shutdown and doesn’t see any of his breakfast buddies(old people love brunch shit). Got a call from him the other day and told me he was on the brink of suicide. We talked him down, but he’s under the impression that if he goes out in public, then he’s gonna die. The media spinning the election and COVID really has him going crazy though.
