Allowing the likes of CNN, Facebook and Twitter to operate as they do under the guise of the first amendment is like allowing mass shootings under the 2nd. This is not hyperbole. Besides sedition and the like, their lies and bias frequently kill people.

This is an old gaslighting propaganda push that has been very effective.
The phrase "the press" in the first amendment does NOT refer to media companies. Look up an old dictionary from the 1700s, and you'll see that "the press" did not refer to newspapers, journalists, or anything of the sort.
Freedom of the press is an individual right that operates as a corollary to freedom of speech. Any individual can SAY what they want, and by extension they can publish what they want.
Corporate news outlets do NOT get any special protections under the Constitution. They are NOT "the press".
