Imagine trying to explain to thw founder that in a couple hundred years that our elections would be tampered with remotely.

ProfessorRomendev 193 points ago +193 / -0

There’s the joking: “what they heck do you mean ‘remotely’? Like with a carrier pidgeon? How does that work?”

And the more serious: “YOU LET THEM DO WHAT TO OUR REPUBLIC!?!? FOR HOW MANY YEARS HAS THIS BEEN HAPPENING!?

Terrifying.

Yes and it's horrible to conceive. We have such cushy lives now, and make no mistake that we have worked hard for these lifestyles, but so many of us have it so good that we won't risk losing any of it if we rebel. Thats what people have to get their head around. Sacrifices will have to be made. Life will get uncomfortable. Peoples lives will be put in jeopardy. But it is our God given responsibility to stand up to tyranny. People will be lost. Jobs and fortunes lost. But in exchange we guarantee that truth prevails and our freedom is in tact.

And we have control of everything we need to survive and even prosper in hard times. We own the food supply change. We have the guns. Our military fighting elite are overwhelmingly conservatives. They will not go against us. The time is coming where you pick a side.

46
booblitchutz 46 points ago +46 / -0

I love how arrogant we are, as if the men who were wise enough to write our constitution wouldn't be able to grasp the concept of telecommunications.

If anything, we would be completely in over our heads in a discussion with them, more likely!

Maga0351 17 points ago +17 / -0

For real. And unfortunately, even if the founders knew, they wouldn’t be able to do anything different.

They literally made the freedom, I.e; the constitution and the bill of rights, the supreme law of the land. They made an entire system of government and laws that say this shit can’t happen. It’s not their fault a bunch of tyrants ignored it, and more strangely, the citizenry let them.

The tree of liberty must occasionally be watered with the blood of patriots and tyrants alike.

"Half our population is extremely weak, and breaks down emotionally when they imagine themselves to have been provoked in ways invisible to normal men. We call these imaginary provocations microaggressions.

In order to preserve the sanity of the general population, those imagining the microaggressions must be provided with safe spaces. These are special buildings where they can cry without disturbing the rest of us.

I strongly suggest you watch Er ist wieder da.

Yes, it's a Hitler movie. Yes, it's a comedy--that suddenly turns very dark in the last ten minutes or so.

I like its portrayal of Hitler though. Usually media depicts him, at least in the war's closing years, as a raving madman. (That's why the sympathetic rendition in Der Untergang was so controversial.)

In Er ist wieder da, Hitler is shown to be savvy and adaptable, not to mention charismatic--which he was. Of course modern tech is mindblowing to him, but he immediately recognises its potential and jumps on it.

Not endorsing Hitler btw

SvixGale 80 points ago +81 / -1

1,000,000% I am about 99.5% sure I saw a TeamViewer icon in the systray / bottom right of one of those computers AND I CAN TELL FROM THE COLOR & TYPE OF ICON THAT IT WAS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET, 1,000,000%

I only say I'm 99.5% sure because the screencap I saw was an absolute potato; I literally think it was taken with a 1mp digital camera from the 90's, then someone else took a photo of a screenshot of the video or something.

Even THAT shitty of a pic & I am 99.5% certain that was the TeamViewer icon I saw, and again; the icon changes depending on its status; online/offline, etc.

It can also be connected to a WAN that is connected to Dominion networks only. The technicality that is the statement “not connected to the internet” fools no one.

2
Mister_t 2 points ago +2 / -0

So you're suggesting that Dominion had a private network run to each polling site and it wasn't tunneling over the internet as a whole? Um, no.

2
thericktus 2 points ago +2 / -0

To set up an MPLS network all over the country at that many polling stations would be some serious work and insanely expensive. Hence my original comment.

0
abetterreddit 0 points ago +1 / -1

Are you very familiar with technology and networking terms? "Internet" is different from "tunneling over the internet."

I am very much suggesting that the Dominion machines could be VPN tunneled to the Dominion Corporate Network (or perhaps a location in Frankfurt, or a location that routed to Frankfurt to obfuscate the actual flow of traffic).

I am also suggesting that this VPN could represent a WLAN connection that would be technically considered "not on the internet", but very much compromised all the same. This is particularly true if an actor had setup shop in the Dominion Corporate Network to which these machines could have been VPN tunneled.

This is how I would do it. Why? Because I could claim the machines "were not on the internet" while also having completely plausible reason for my Dominion Corporate Network to be "on the internet". It would also allow that Dominion Corporate Network to expose a server which would in turn be a CnC hub for whoever may want to reach out to Dominion Voting Machines on my WLAN that I'm using to hijack the election in the world's most powerful democracy.

75
abstr4ct 75 points ago +101 / -26

It is possible that the device itself was not connected to the internet. But perhaps the device was connected to a "poll pad". The poll pad seems to have been connected to the internet. So it could be a true statement that the tabulator was not connected to the internet, however indirectly it was. This needs attention.

2
TwoStar 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think it's a useful distinction to be clear about. The tabulators, processors, scanners, what have you were all definitely connected via netowrk. It would only take one of those devices to be open to the internet and they effectively all were. That's the purpose of the USB devices, to have an "air gap" between two computers that are not networked.

The USB devices themselves create a vulnerablility though (example: Stuxnet). I worked at a defense contractor a few years ago and all of our computers were replaced to disable USB ports and CD/DVD drives to remove vulnerabilities.

9
generated_name 9 points ago +9 / -0

There were a couple stories early on, of machines being found connected to routers. I can't remember where and I'm not sure if that was voting machines or tabulators though.

67
TheLunarEffect 67 points ago +67 / -0

This makes my IT blood boil. There is no way a machine is 'not online' if there's an active helpdesk with the ability to remote in on a whim. Even if the machines 'dont have internet' by some group policy fuckery, her ignorant statement (and I'll call it ignorant for now because I'm damn sure she doesn't know how computers work in the slightest - ID-10T likely) should be a catalyst to call in to greater question of Dominion's machines/coding.

For those who aren't in to computers or don't work on them daily, here's an example of a 'machine that doesn't have internet'; a local administrator of the machine can set a local group policy against a service/user account (group) that disallows the user from surfing the internet (either be some DNS fuckery or disabling the NIC upon sign-in). In the bottom corner of the machine will show up as 'no internet'. That being said, the machine will still have access to network shares/applications. However, I sign in as a local administrator, the policy doesn't apply to me and I have access to the entire internet. The secondary possibility of 'no internet on the machine' is that the administrator could've also written a group policy that disables Internet Explorer/Edge. By removing install rights, it would prevent Chrome/Firefox/etc from being installed, thus 'no internet' by her intelligence level.

TL:DR - No internet, no remote support. Remote support can get in, the machine is connected to the internet. Either she can't put 2 and 2 together, or chooses to be willfully ignorant to save face.

DNS - how your computer translates website names to IP addresses and vise versa NIC - Network Interface Card - WIFI or hardline connection

First post since lingering here since the beginning of time, even across the plebbit days. Other IT 'pedes feel free to chime in. :)

16
Ivleeeg 16 points ago +16 / -0

I'd say you're right on the money. The only thing I haven't seen established is that her pad was connected to the voting machines or tabulating machines. I don't have the slightest clue how each piece of hardware fits into the puzzle.

To clarify, that was on a laptop (that I believe was personal?) which a dominion contractor put a usb drive into from one of the tabulators, and then opened up data on the cloud version of excel).

There was separate testimony that when workers encountered an issue with election hardware/software, dominion was able to remotely solve those issues over the phone (by taking control of the machine).

Why are people assuming this woman is one of the bad guys? She is testifying and not hiding this information. This is exactly what we need - testimony from the inside as to what went down. Testimony from elections staff is even more powerful than from observers, though both are good.

17
sleepingbeautyc 17 points ago +19 / -2

She clearly had no idea that this was a big deal.

7
micaarzur 7 points ago +7 / -0

If you watch her whole testimony, she was there to show proof of fraud.

5
LawfulSilentMajority 5 points ago +5 / -0

But you don't get it, they couldn't take over on the device that they developed the software for until I clicked the pop-up "ok" box, so they don't just have access. Back door? Administrator privilege? What's that? /s

12
Here_we_go 12 points ago +12 / -0

I'm happy to have her. She clearly has no bad intent and her basic limited understanding is what we need to break it down to fellow boomers. Kiss method always works

3
Granny 3 points ago +3 / -0

She sounds exactly like a non-technical user, trying to explain a problem to an IT support person. I think she did a pretty good job of it!!!

alienjesus 35 points ago +35 / -0

If Dominion did this, every state that used Dominion machines is null.

27
cook_does 27 points ago +27 / -0

Thank god for this Boomer. So many things wrong here.

1, she is not the owner and hopefully someone hasn't made here the administrator of the devices, so therefor, she should never had been able to give approval to an outside source for the device.

2, these devices should not be accessible from the outside. Clearly they are.

Old people are so stupid. Apple and dominion can take take over the device whenever they want. The "permission" is a formality.

10
redgreenyellowblu 10 points ago +10 / -0

Exactly. They just want it on a recording so you can't sue later and say you never gave permission.

3
LawfulSilentMajority 3 points ago +3 / -0

but how will they click the "ok" box to grant permission if I didn't give them permission yet? It's paradox! Checkmate! /s

Shroudedf8 14 points ago +14 / -0

Lol.."I don't know much about tech, so lemme just admit that Dominion accessed our voting machines remotely to fix them. And I helped! What? Why the faces? What'd I say? "

Dominion used TeamViewer to rig the election.

I thought these things weren't supposed to be connected to the internet.

6
Tesseract_Trump 6 points ago +6 / -0

That's what our traitorous officials told us. Also that they "count" votes, which they obviously don't do since they have secret proprietary algorithms.

Dominion was remotely running the election 🤣

5
djtverystablegenius 5 points ago +5 / -0

THIS... is why we had to turn our election off then on again.

5
Tesseract_Trump 5 points ago +5 / -0

We had to unplug the election and count the 30, then plug it back in again.

7
Robertkolodin 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm not sure if that was intentional or not but that's not what Georgia wanted to hear That's a bombshell if they can connect to that machine they can change anything they want

2
Sting 2 points ago +3 / -1

Oh I have a feeling there’s plenty of unused space there already. With all of the cells we have been told were going to be filled over the last four years. Hopefully this is final yet. If this doesn’t do it, I am done. Done. I will seriously give up and move to Poland.

Supposedly, some of the vote-flipping originated from Serbia, where Dominion's voting systems are programmed.

5
FreedomYeah 5 points ago +5 / -0

So they could change the tabulator's assigned location remotely? Remember in Michigan they were asking why the Detroit numbers were not significantly different than other elections? WE NEED TO CHECK THE SLEEPING RURAL COUNTIES.

My own county has had a steady decline in population since moving here 5 years ago. The number of registered voters has remained around 23000 in that time. Suddenly, it jumped in the 3 months between the primary and the election by 3000.

5
undercovermaga 5 points ago +5 / -0

Doesn't this basically invalidate every single vote that went through a Dominion voting machine in every single state?

ACTS OF WAR

4
CMDRConanAAnderson 4 points ago +4 / -0

In a common sense world this would lead to the most watched hearings in American history. We know what's gonna happen, no one will cover the election software company hearings and/or they'll get buried under a false flag story timed at the exact same moment it starts.

3
Magazar 3 points ago +3 / -0

It may very well be the most watched hearing? Was alot of viewers for a formal meeting of 6h. What hearing would have had more viewers?

1
CMDRConanAAnderson 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm talking about when they finally bring in the Election company executives to testify what they knew about the fraud that occurred. I don't see that happening any time soon so I can relate to how you feel about nothing big happening until far into the future. Let me put it this way: imagine the company in charge of elections operations in the USA pleading the 5th in front of congress members.

4
Michonne21 4 points ago +4 / -0

Dominion is probably manipulating our urine too! (We know Dominion has a division that is monitoring our china virus vitals.)

4
conservativerants 4 points ago +4 / -0

At this point, SCOTUS needs to say "the ENTIRE election was compromised. It's all invalid," and just order the thing immediately to the House of Reps for a vote, one per delegation.

Sources familiar with liberal thinking all agree that this was an isolated incident and you should start looking into it.
