I'm not entirely clear on how the rules work, but can this even be vetoed and tossed out completely? It didn't even appear to be opposed by any Senator who voted.

Any bill can be vetoed. Even unanimous bills. They can just re vote and most likely will have a majority to repass it via override. But politically it puts their ass on the line if they vote for it again after president rebuffs

Didn't see the exact numbers but no one voted against it. So it might be veto proof.

How can that be?? No senator opposed this?

The problem is even worse than I thought and I knew it was really really bad.

When platforms such as Elance came online, remote American workers were suddenly competing with a ton of Indian shit coders that worked for mere dollars an hour. But, you get what you pay for. I watched for a few years while many companies relied on this shitfuckers who never delivered on time, made excuses, cheated, and would never finish a functioning project. These companies finally got wise and realized it was worth paying more to get it done on time and right. They began advertising "US Workers" only. Then Upwork bought them but that's a whole other story.

Point being, soon these shitfucks will be IN America where you cannot "discriminate" against them. We'll end up with shit wages and shit products. /end rant

Maybe after we shut it down for about 50 years.

At least until Americans are fully employed, welfare is gone, and the schools are teaching kids things that they will use as adults.

You are 100% correct. I am an American coder and I scored a few small jobs on Elance after the dot-com crash to fill in the gaps. I was lucky to find people on there who had HAD ENOUGH of being burned by off-shored workers who barely understood any English. They all had similar stories where they indicated that they saved a bunch on per-hour or project labor, but spent a ton more in time and frustration getting them to produce code that wasn't utter shit.

They probably do... what the fuck do they care?
Democrats have no values. They'll pass all the bullshit these corporations want while distracting their dumbfuck base with BLM, fags and various other social justice shit.

Did you see how many corporations put fag rainbows and BLM 'black squares' on their social media? The most powerful political party (at any given moment) is which ever one makes people BELIEVE they're working in their interests.

Fuck this shit. It's hard enough coming up the ranks in the IT world as it is. Companies like Ericsson will literally hire US workers to work on "projects"; once their proof of concept is done, they lay everyone off and outsource to India or Mexico.

That was many years ago, but I'm sure they're still up to their old tricks. It'll be worse since RINO fags are egging it on.

VETO incoming!

BaconBun11 1 point ago +2 / -1

Can this even be vetoed? It didn't even appear to be opposed by any Senator who voted.

AnnieMm 4 points ago +4 / -0

The President can veto it, and then it would take a super-majority of both Congress & the Senate to override it. ;-)

BaconBun11 1 point ago +2 / -1

Well, considering the Senate passed this unanimously, and I don't really trust most of the GOP or Dems in Congress at this point....

The gop doesn’t want to win. They want the new normal which is the old corruption. The status quo. The wealth transfer is going wrong with Trump in Office lol.

“Let’s get rid of Trump and everything can go back to the way things used to be - corrupt”.

Too bad cock suckers. Trump party is on the way. We will totally fuck you.
